InkBags repairs the printhead in the Neuralog NeuraLabel 300x. HP PageWide based high-speed label printer — same HP thermal inkjet family as the FI-1000, different engine and width. Recovery is realistic when the fault is dried ink, blockage, contamination or air-lock; it is not when a die segment is electrically dead or the nozzle plate is damaged. Send a nozzle test print and we tell you which one you have before quoting.
Neuralog NeuraLabel 300x printhead specification
Parts and recovery procedures do not transfer between printhead families, even when both are HP thermal inkjet — so the engine inside the machine is the first thing to establish.
| Machine | NeuraLabel 300x — Neuralog, USA |
| Print engine | HP PageWide (thermal inkjet, page-wide array) |
| Print width | 38–216 mm / 1.5–8.5 in |
| Resolution | Up to 2400 × 1200 dpi |
| Max speed | Up to 20 in/s |
| Ink | HP pigment, CMYK |
| Typical application | GHS, chemical drum and consumer product labels |
What printhead failure looks like on a NeuraLabel 300x
- Banding on GHS labels where a missing line can put the label out of regulatory compliance, not just out of spec visually.
- Nozzle loss after the printer has stood between short label runs.
- Colour channel dropout affecting hazard pictogram fidelity.
Photograph the nozzle test print before running any more recovery cycles. Repeated aggressive purging on a head that has already dried out can turn a recoverable fault into a replacement.
How we approach a NeuraLabel 300x printhead
The 300x is HP PageWide, not FI-1000 — a narrower engine (up to 216 mm) at a higher addressable resolution. The head is a different part and we scope it as such; do not assume FI-1000 parts or procedures transfer.
GHS and chemical labelling work has a compliance dimension that ordinary label print does not: a dropout inside a pictogram or a hazard statement is a regulatory failure. We test against that standard rather than against general print quality.
Short-run label work means long idle periods between jobs, so on this machine drying and capping behaviour is the dominant recoverable failure driver.
What the service covers
Diagnosis
Failure-mode identification from the nozzle test print, plus a straight answer on whether recovery is realistic.
Nozzle recovery
Deep flushing of the ink path and restoration of blocked nozzle areas, matched to the failure mode.
Ink system service
Capping, wiping and supply-side inspection — the parts that usually caused the failure in the first place.
Replacement printheads are available where recovery is not viable, along with original and compatible ink, so a machine that cannot be recovered does not sit idle waiting on a separate supplier.
Pricing and turnaround are quoted per case, because both depend on the failure mode and on whether the ink delivery system needs work as well.
Neuralog NeuraLabel 300x printhead repair FAQ
Does the NeuraLabel 300x use the HP FI-1000 printhead?
No. The 300x is built on HP PageWide technology — the same HP thermal inkjet family, but a different, narrower engine (up to 216 mm, up to 2400 × 1200 dpi). We service both, but the parts and procedures are not interchangeable.
Can InkBags supply ink for HP PageWide label printers?
Yes. We supply original HP ink and a compatible equivalent for HP PageWide machines, in pigment and dye formulations. Details and volumes on request.
Can the Neuralog NeuraLabel 300x printhead be repaired or does it need replacing?
Both happen. Blockage, dried ink, contamination and air-lock recover in a large share of cases; electrical or physical damage to the die does not. The nozzle test print tells the two apart before any money is spent.
How much does Neuralog NeuraLabel 300x printhead repair cost?
It is quoted per case, because the cost depends on the failure mode and on whether the ink delivery system also needs service. Send the nozzle test and you get a scope and a price up front.
